On Monday, Feb. 9th from 5 p.m – 7p.m., Maya will officially launch its new signature tequila with a special 2015 World Championship Tequila Event. Our delicious new tequila was specially made for the restaurant last fall at Casa Herradura in Tequila, Mexico. Snow Sugar Pop Up Shop & Fashion Show on Feb. 4
Mark your calendars: We are excited to be hosting a special Snow Sugar Pop Up Show & Fashion Show on Wednesday, Feb. 4th from 4 p.m. - 7 p.m.!
Snow Sugar - an all-women's snow apparel line designed to bring fashion, femininity and function to the slopes - will be showcasing merchandise from its 2015 Candy Collection, including pieces such as Cherry Red Pixie Pants, Bubblegum Pink Snow Coats, the Rocky Road Ski Suit and their signature Hoodie a La Mode.
The event will include a fashion show featuring the Snow Sugar 2015 Snow Clothing “Candy Collection”, music and complimentary cocktails poured by Korbel California Champagne and Iceberg Vodka. Hot cocoa and cookies will also be served. Guests may order gourmet pub fare and handcrafted cocktails from our Parlor 126.

Athletic Club Swim Stroke Clinic
Prepare for the upcoming triathlon season with the new First Out of the Water Swim Stroke Clinic offered Jan. 9-11 at our Athletic Club. Led by professional XTERRA competitor Craig Evans, this workshop will help you master techniques and skills that easily transfer to the open water, allowing you to swim with more confidence. The workshop schedule is as follows:
- Friday, January 9 - Personal 1:1 Sessions with Craig Evans
- One-on-one session stroke evaluation to identify stroke technique changes to improve swim times while exerting less effort. (One hour individual sessions scheduled between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.)
- Saturday, January 10 - Classroom Training & Group Swim Session
- 9 a.m. – 10 a.m.: Classroom instruction and group discussions
- 10 a.m. – Noon: Group swim session with personal videotaping
- Noon – 1 p.m.: Classroom video analysis & instruction
- Sunday, January 11 - Personal 1:1 Sessions with Craig Evans
- One hour individual sessions scheduled between 9 a.m. and noon.
Two pricing options are available for the Swim Stroke Clinic:

Beaver Creek opens tomorrow with 558 acres!
Beaver Creek Mountain is kicking off the 2014-2015 season in a big way tomorrow with 558 acres of terrain, including Rose Bowl and Bachelor Gulch. More than 15 inches of fresh snow have fallen in the past two days and more is expected today. New this year: the Centennial Express Lift is now a combination lift, alternating between 10-person gondola cabins and six-person chairs, which will increase uphill capacity by 35 percent.
And at 2 p.m., don't miss the 11th annual Beaver Creek Cookie Competition in the Village, where you can sample five different cookies and vote for the Official Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe for this season. We're looking forward to another fantastic season!!

Vail Mountain Now Open!
Ski season is officially here - Vail opened for the ski season today with 540 acres of terrain and more than a foot of snow of snow is expected this weekend. Beaver Creek should be in fantastic shape when it opens next Wednesday, Nov. 26th. See you out there!
Men’s Pilates Reformer Class
Our Athletic Club is offering a new Men’s Pilates Reformer Class designed specifically for male athletes.
Taught by Rife Hilgartner, the 50-minute class is offered on Tuesday and Thursday mornings at 7 a.m. It is designed to challenge even the toughest athlete while strengthening core muscles and improving flexibility. Pilates can help you feel better and perform better in your other sports!
Hilgartner is a Certified Pilates Instructor, a Certified Snowboard Instructor and a TRX Certified Suspension Trainer. The price is $20 for Athletic Club members and $40 for the public. Resident Gold Medalist Mikaela Shiffrin wants to help you get ready for the upcoming ski season with the new 8-week Winter Sports Conditioning Class.
Shiffrin – who was named our “Resident Gold Medalist” this past summer – has recorded a series of video tips on how to incorporate many of her tried-and-true exercises to achieve optimal on-mountain performance, including using the BOSU, Kettlebells, agility ladder hurdles and medicine balls. The 8-week class will be held from Oct. 6 – Nov. 26. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 6:15 a.m. or Mondays and Wednesdays at 5:30 p.m. The Winter Sports Conditioning sessions will all be held in The Athletic Club’s Movement Studio.

Yamuna Body Rolling Workshop
Learn how to stretch, tone and realign your entire body with the new Introduction to Yamuna Body Rolling Workshop this Sunday, Sept. 28th at The Athletic Club at The Westin.
Yamuna can improve posture, relieve back, neck and shoulder pain and release tightness and tension that can restrict movement. The workshop will be taught by Jen Tracy Hooker, a certified yoga instructor and massage therapist who received a certification in Yamuna Body Rolling in 2004.
