Second City "Laugh Out Loud" Tour
America's famed comedy troupe, The Second City, is coming to Beaver Creek with its one-of-a-kind sketch comedy and trademark improvisation on Tuesday night at 7:30 p.m. at Beaver Creek’s Vilar Performing Arts Center. Tickets are $37 and can be purchased at www.vilarpac.org or by calling 888-920-2787.
Athletic Club Fitness Round Robin
The Athletic Club at The Westin will celebrate the completion of a $1 million expansion with a Fitness Round Robin on Monday, Feb. 6th from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. This free event will allow guests to explore the Athletic Club’s three new studio spaces with 20 minute sample classes starting every half hour, including:
- Pilates Reformer
- Pilates Barre
- Anusara Yoga
- Anjali Restorative Yoga
- TRX and Stroops: Train for Life
The Fitness Round Robin is open to the public and will also feature a reception with snacks, wine and beer and demonstrations in the Computrainer studio. Hope you can join us!

Beaver Creek Food & Wine Weekend
We’re very excited for this weekend’s 1st annual Beaver Creek Food & Wine Weekend! Sponsored by FOOD & WINE Magazine, this new event features a fantastic line-up of culinary events, including a Snowshoe & Gourmet Lunch, dinner at Allie’s Cabin with Chef John Besh and of course the Grand Tasting on Saturday. Celebrity chefs planning to attend include Tim Love, Stephanie Izard and Marc Murphy. Our very own Chef Richard Sandoval will be presenting at the Après-Ski Burgers and Beers event on Friday afternoon at 8100 and the First Tracks Breakfast at Spruce Saddle Lodge on Saturday morning. We’ll see you there!
New Athletic Club classes!
Beginning today, the new Movement Studio at the Athletic Club will be offering group fitness classes, including Zumba, Pilates Barre and Kickboxing. You can also check out our new training tools - including TRX and Stroops Performance cords, which can enhance your workouts in Interval Training, Circuit Train and Core Train classes. Free Avalanche Training
The Athletic Club at The Westin is thrilled to be co-hosting a free avalanche training workshop Intro to Decision Making in the Backcountry: Backcountry Riding 101 on Feb. 1st and 2nd. Led by White Room Adventures and Ski Cooper, this workshop is for everyone who does, and plans to, travel in the backcountry. Knowing the basics of traveling in and around avalanche terrain is a great stepping stone on the path to building strong avalanche skills. Call 970-790-2051 to reserve your spot.

Beaver Creek Tubing Looking for an outdoor activity that the whole family can enjoy? Head to Beaver Creek’s Haymaker Tubing Hill for a fun afternoon of zooming down Beaver Creek on a giant tube. Kids must be 36 inches or taller to ride. Haymaker is open daily from 1 p.m. to dusk and is located just below The Ranch off the Buckaroo Express Gondola. 7430 Teen Programming
7430, our fabulous teen-only programming, has rolled out some amazing winter activities for kids ages 12 to 16 to enjoy this ski season!! Practice your snowboarding skills at our Jibbing Workshops, where we set up special objects on the lawn for teens to practice jumping over. Or make you own film with our Improv Movie Making workshop, where you get 4 hours to script, shoot and edit a movie, then we’ll screen it in our Whitewater Lounge. And don’t miss the next Full Moon Snowshoe – where the group hits the “Leave the Beav” trail for a moonlight adventure, followed by cocoa by the fire. The Lift Café now open! We are very excited to announce that the Lift Café is now open at The Westin Riverfront! The Lift Café serves a quick, full-service hot breakfast from 7 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. on Monday-Saturday, making it the perfect stop before jumping on the Riverfront Express Gondola! The delicious menu features Chef Richard Sandoval’s distinct Latin flavors, including a Three Egg Omelet with roasted turkey, spinach, goat cheese and poblano chiles and Breakfast Tacos made with scrambled eggs, house made chorizo, potatoes, black beans and salsa roja. Beaver Creek Family Snowshoe Tours
Did you know that Beaver Creek offers complimentary Family Snowshoe Tours every Tuesday evening during the ski season? Open to guests ages 6 and older, the free active tour runs from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. weekly at the Beaver Creek Nordic Center at the bottom of the Strawberry Park Lift #12. Atlas snowshoes and headlamps are provided and cookies and hot cocoa are served upon your return. Don’t forget to dress warmly!

Beaver Creek Thursday Night Lights One of Beaver Creek’s best annual traditions starts up again this week – Thursday Night Lights! Skiers can join the Beaver Creek Ski Patrol for a Glow Stick Ski Down set to music followed by a spectacular fireworks show. Interested skiers/snowboarders must be Level 5+ and can register at the Children’s Ski & Snowboard School or by calling 970-754-5464. The Glow Stick Ski Down starts at dusk and will run every Thursday evening now through March 29th. |
