Vail's Closing Weekend Spring Back to Vail continues with a bang this weekend, with the Vail ski season officially coming to an end next Sunday. But there is tons of fun to be had before then, including a free concert by Stephen Marley on Saturday, April 23rd at 5 p.m. and Sierra Leone's Refugee All Stars on Sunday, April 24th at 5 p.m. And don't miss the World Pond Skimming Championship's on Vail's Golden Peak on Sunday afternoon from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., always a hilarious way to end the season! Beaver Creek's Vintage SkiFest & Race
Dust off those straight skis and break out your retro-style ski gear for this Saturday's Vintage SkiFest & Race at Beaver Creek! Events include a Celebrity Slalom, Citizens' Ski Race and a Bump Competition, all featuring both wooden and straight metal skis. There will also be a Vintage Vendors Fair and a huge Apres Party with live music, great food and awards. This event is always entertaining!
Mark Morford Yoga Workshop
We're very excited for this weekend's Yoga Workshop with Mark Morford at the Riverfront Club! Morford - the award-winning San Francisco Chronicle columnist and author - has been teaching an energized style of Vinyasa yoga for more than a decade. His workshops are athletic, challenging and a deliciously irreverent blend of focused breath and strength-building movement (asana), all designed to invigorate the body and calm the frenzied mind. This Friday/Saturday workshop will consist of three sessions with a cost of $40 per class or $105 for all three. Spring Back to Vail!
Spring has sprung in the Colorado High Country and Vail is going to be rocking for the next two weeks with the annual end of the season Spring Back to Vail celebration! Hollywood comes to the Vail Valley this Thursday - Sunday with the 2011 Vail Film Festival. The festival features a wide variety of films, including documentaries, shorts, adventure films and feature films and stars like Josh Lucas, Kate Bosworth and Michael Imperioli are expected to attend.
