New Year’s Eve at Cima

Beaver Creek NYE Torchlight Parade
Please join us in watching the Beaver Creek PSIA DEMO team members and Ski School instructors in the resort’s New Year’s Eve Torchlight Parade. The parade starts at 6:30 p.m. at Spruce Saddle and will wind its way down 1876 trail to the base area, followed by a fireworks extravaganza starting at 6:45 p.m. It’s an amazing annual tradition, hope you can join us!
Beaver Creek is also hosting a New Year’s Eve Family Carnival from 7:30 p.m. to 1 a.m. at McCoy’s McCoy’s Ford Hall near the base of the Centennial Express Lift. This family-friendly evening will feature live entertainment, raffle prizes and more, with all ages welcome. Tickets: 970-827-6561.

Winter Solstice Celebration
Please join The Athletic Club at The Westin on Wednesday, Dec. 21st for a special FREE yoga class and candlelit ceremony celebrating the shortest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere, the Winter Solstice. The Studio Anjali Winter Solstice Celebration will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 21st at 6:30 p.m. Yoga Lead Suzanne Oliver will offer an Asana practice, contemplative meditation and Pranayama (breath exercise), followed by the Bringing in the Light ceremony, a candle lit time for reflection and blessings of renewal for ourselves, the community and the planet.
The celebration will also include the blessing of the new Studio Anjali yoga space and will be followed by complimentary hot cider around The Westin Riverfront’s fire pit. The entire program is free; guests are encouraged to bring a candle. Hope you can join us!
Spa Anjali Girls Night Out

The Dallas Brass
Celebrate the holiday season with a special concert tomorrow night by the Dallas Brass at Beaver Creek Vilar Center! One of America’s foremost musical ensembles, the group will perform a wide variety of holiday classics, including “Deck the Halls,” “Sleigh Ride” and “Frosty the Snowman.” Tickets are $30 and can be purchased at 888-920-ARTS.
Beaver Creek Nordic Center

Our Riverfront Express Gondola will start running daily operations for the 2011-2012 ski season this Saturday at 8:30 a.m. Happy riding!
Vail Snow Daze
Join the biggest early season party in North America at Vail’s Snow Daze this weekend! This year’s event features a great line-up, including Jakob Dylan and Band on Friday at 6:30 p.m.at Solaris and rock super group Yukon Kornelius on Saturday at 6:30 p.m. in Ford Park. All the concerts are free – hope to see you there!
The Nutcracker
The holiday season wouldn’t be complete without a performance of The Nutcracker, so don’t miss the classic Christmas ballet this weekend danced by the Vail Youth Ballet Company and the Vail Valley Academy of Dance. The Nutcracker will be performed Friday and Saturday night at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. at Beaver Creek’s Vilar Center for the Performing Arts. Birds of Prey Beaver Creek is once again hosting The Audi Birds of Prey World Cup this weekend - don’t miss this amazing chance to see World Cup championship contenders on their home turf! On Friday, enjoy the Men’s Downhill, on Saturday check out the Men’s Super G and on Sunday try the Men’s Giant Slalom. On Friday at 5 p.m. the Beaver Creek Sports in Beaver Creek Village will be hosting members of the U.S. Men’s Ski Team for an autograph session. Holiday Tree Lighting Get into the holiday spirit with Beaver Creek’s special Tree Lighting celebration this Friday, including carolers, fireworks, a gingerbread competition and a visit from Santa! The party starts at 6 p.m. in the Beaver Creek Village and will be followed by free ice skating on the Black Family Ice Rink from 6:45 p.m. to 9 p.m. and free family holiday films at the Vilar Center starting at 7 p.m., including “Shrek the Halls.” |
