Snowball Music Festival
We're very excited for this weekend's Snowball Music Festival, a brand new music event taking place just down the street at Avon's Nottingham Park this Friday through Sunday. The lineup includes Pretty Lights, Bassnectar and the Flaming Lips. Avondale will keep its bar open late to accommodate music lovers, with a special Snowball VIP After Party on Friday from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. - a $30 cover charge includes a Fashion Show, DJ and delicious food. On Sunday, Avondale will host a special Jazz Brunch from 7:30 a.m. t 2 p.m. featuring live music by Tony Gulizia.

Beaver Creek Loves Kids! Beaver Creek is catering the younger jet set now through March 11th with Beaver Creek Loves Kids, a two-week event highlighting all the resort has to offer to its younger guests. The resort is offering loads of great deals, including a free kids lift ticket with the purchase of an adult ticket (call 1-800-842-8062 to book), free family snowshoe tours from the Beaver Creek Nordic Center, ice skating lessons and more. |
Beaver Creek Snowshoe Adventure Series
The third and final Beaver Creek Snowshoe Adventure Series will take place this Sunday, March 6th at 11 a.m. Beaver Creek's McCoy Park. Everyone from first time snowshoers to world class athletes can participate in a 5K or 10K race, plus a Kids' 1K. Before the week race, try the Prevention Plunge - a 50 yard all out downhill sprint. The top male and female winners will win a sports apparel prize package, compliments of Prevention Magazine. Cost is $30 in advance (pre-registration is available at Dogma Athletica) or $35 the day of the event.

Vail's free concert series - the Bud Light Street Beat - returns this week with a performance on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. by country rockers Earl Wear & Haywire at Checkpoint Charlie in the Vail Village. Snowshoe Adventure Series On Sunday, Feb. 6, don't miss the second race in the Beaver Creek's Snowshoe Adventure Series - a great excuse to get outside and enjoy another gorgeous Colorado winter day with friends and family! Held at Beaver Creek's Creekside Park, this week's race features the East West Resorts 5K Quest, Dogma Athletica 10K and a Kids' 1K.
