Happy Halloween! We're so glad that's it's almost November - because that means the ski season is just around the corner! Vail Mountain opens for the season on Nov. 18th and Beaver Creek opens on Nov. 23rd. Hope you're working on your ski conditioning so you're ready for another epic season here in the Vail Valley!
Movember
In celebration of Movember - where thousands of men nationwide grow mustaches to help raise funds and awareness for men's cancers - The Athletic Club at The Westin is hosting special Movember benefit group classes on three Saturdays in November - Nov. 5, Nov. 12 and Nov. 19. All funds raised through Movember support men's health programs, including the Prostate Cancer Foundation and LIVESTRONG, the Lance Armstrong Foundation. The Athletic Club at The Westin's Movember events will be held on three Saturdays - Nov. 5, Nov. 12 and Nov. 19 - and include two group fitness classes:
- 8:30 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. - Cycling with Linda Guerrette
- 9:30 a.m. - 10:45 a.m. - Foundations Yoga with Elizabeth Sullivan

The Athletic Club at The Westin now accepting new members!
As part of the ongoing $1 million renovation happening now at our fitness center, we are pleased to announce that we are changing the name to the Athletic Club at The Westin. Enhancements include a new Pilates Studio with four reformers and a new Cycling Studio offering an 8 person multi-rider Computrainer program and the current CycleOps stationary bike programs. Our larger Yoga Studio will allow us to offer an even more extensive schedule of class times and styles, including Vinyasa Flow, Power Flow, Thermal Yoga, Foundations, Anusara-Inspired, Restorative, and Meditation. The project also includes a redesign of our 1,100 square foot Movement Studio to provide truly unique strength and conditioning programs including "suspension" training, power training and functional training class formats.
The Athletic Club is currently accepting new members. Monthly fees start at $110 for individuals and $160 for families, plus a one-time initiation fee. Members can enjoy free valet parking, unlimited access to Group Fitness Classes and use of our saline-based outdoor lap pool and three riverside hot tubs. Out of the magazine's "Top 100 Travel Experiences" in the world, The Westin Riverfront was ranked #31 and was the only Colorado hotel to be featured.
The Westin Riverfront - which was named the #1 U.S. Resort by the magazine last year - is thrilled to remain at the top of this prestigious list, which compiled votes from nearly 29,000 Condé Nast Traveler readers this spring. The 2011 survey will be featured in the November issue of the magazine out on newsstands Oct. 18.

Happy 3rd birthday to us! We are thrilled to be celebrating our third anniversary this week! It has been an amazing journey thus far - from our Silver LEED certification to the #1 Resort in the U.S. award from the readers of Condé Nast Traveler to being named one of the "10 Best Snow Resorts for Families" by Parents Magazine. And of course we've enjoyed three great ski seasons with bountiful snow and three gorgeous summers fishing and rafting on the Eagle River! Thank you to all of our guests, owners and fans for your support and all the wonderful memories - we're looking forward to another great year!
