WESTIN KIDS CLUB

The Westin Kids Club is a destination of discovery. A wonderful option for guests with children ages 5-12, The Westin Kids Club is open year-round and run by our wonderful Resort Activities Staff.  Kids will enjoy fun programs that educate - whether highlighting our natural environment during Colorado Safari day, learning about Native Americans, miners, mountain men or Hispanic cultures on Colorado Explorers day. Discover ways to care for our precious resources on Go Green day or have fun whipping up a fresh batch of snow cream on almost any day. Those are just a few of the great activities your child will love! Parents can enjoy some needed guilt-free alone time while the kids experience a fun filled day of exploration and learning. 

Ski School Carpool Program

During the winter season, we are excited to offer our Westin families our Ski School Carpool. This service enables Kids Club to escort children ages 5 to 12 to their ski lesson on Beaver Creek in the morning and bring them back to the Kids Club in the afternoon. Children must be fully registered at ski school and have all of their ski equipment before using this service. For more information on the roundtrip Ski School Carpool, please contact the hotel at (970) 790-6000.

7430 Teen-Only Program

The Westin Riverfront Resort & Spa at Beaver Creek Mountain is catering to Generation Z with 7430, exclusive new teen-only programming designed to help younger guests experience the resort – and the Rocky Mountains – like never before.

Open to kids’ ages 12 to 16, 7430 at The Westin Riverfront features everything today’s teen needs to stay connected, meet others and have fun. It’s strictly a “parents and little kids-free” zone, so teens can hang on their terms – play video games, watch a movie, surf the Internet – all in the cool Whitewater Lounge, located just off the Grand Lobby.

Options include:

Après Ski Chill Sessions • Enjoy exclusive access to the Whitewater Room – play video games on our XBOX Kinect game system, kick back and enjoy a movie, surf the internet, enjoy cocoa and biscotti, or just relax with new friends.  Offered daily from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. – no reservations required; $20 “Cover” per participant. Meal service available for an additional charge

Teens on the Town • A rotating menu of activities that allow our guests a night away from their parents – whether it be video game tournaments, a DJ music event, or an evening exploring Beaver Creek or Vail Village– guests will experience a variety of activities with other teens. Featured Winter Activities:

Beaver Creek Village: Enjoy a night in the Village, taking in all the activities that Beaver Creek has to offer including ice skating and dinner at a great restaurant. $45 per person, includes transportation to and from Beaver Creek Village and all activities.

Dinner at the Movies: It's off to Vail Village and CineBistro to enjoy a movie and dinner. Afterwards, we'll ice skate or stroll through the Vail Village before heading back to the resort. $65 per person, includes transportation to and from Vail Village and a movie ticket. Food at CineBistro is not included.

Jibbing Workshop • (Snow permitting) In snowboard terms, “jibbing” is jumping over or upon an object – in this activity, guests can bring their snowboards and practice jumping techniques. Afterwards, it’s back to the Whitewater Lounge and Grand Lobby for cocoa by the fire. $30 per participant for a 3 hour session. Meal service available for an additional charge.

Full Moon Snowshoe • On each full moon, we hit the “Leave the Beav” trail for a night time snowshoe  adventure up the mountain. At dusk, participants will grab their gear and spend 2-3 hours exploring the wonders of the mountain at night. Afterwards, it’s back to the Whitewater Lounge and Grand Lobby for  cocoa by the fire. $40 per participant for a 3 hour session. Meal service available for an additional charge.

Improv Movie Making •  Lights, camera, action! Guests will be given a scenario and 4 hours script,  shoot, and edit a movie. After a brief introduction to the process of film making, 7430 staff will lead the filmmakers around to various resort locations to shoot. Once the director calls the shooting a wrap, it’s back to the Whitewater Lounge to edit the films, add credits and special effects, and prepare to premiere their new film. After enjoying the red carpet treatment and exclusive viewing of each film, participants will receive a DVD copy of their movie. Movies will then be posted on YouTube to share with the world. $30 per participant for a 4 hour session. Meal service available for an additional charge.

Virtual Scrapbooking • Guests will be invited to share their photos, assemble them into virtual scrapbooks or slideshows, post them online, and select their favorites to print and display. $20 per participant for a 2 hour session. Meal service available for an additional charge.

Programs are offered on an “interest-guided” basis, meaning they are determined by popular vote. Meal services are available for an additional charge.
